Voting has been generally peaceful in the Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro (BNA) constituency of the Greater Accra Region.As at 08.20 hours, 38 people had cast their votes at the 31st December Day Care Centre Polling Station.By 08.17 hours, 37 voters had cast their ballots. In all, 810 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots at that centre.
At Taxi Rank polling centre ‘A’, 49 voters cast their ballot as at 08.39 hours out of the 693 registered voters at that centre.Taxi Rank polling centre ‘B’ recorded 77 voters who had cast their ballot out of 661 registered voters on the list.M.A. Primary School Polling Station recorded 50 votes cast out of1004 registered voters.
Pastor Randy Hagoe of Kasoa Royal House Chapel, one of the voters at M.A. JSS at Amanfro called on Ghanaians to maintain the peace during and after the elections.He praised the voters at that Centre for the orderly manner they conducted themselves.He said all that the country needed now was tranquillity, adding that God will elect a befitting leader for the country.
"My advise to the people of Ghana is to come out and vote, and go home and pray for their favourite candidates."We should rally behind any of the candidates who will emerge the winner to consolidate the prevailing peace in Ghana," he added and wished all Ghanaians well.
